About Trust

H N Wanchoo Trust (HNWT), a public charitable trust under formal registration no. 4808 has its registered office at 63, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. HNWT was registered as Trust on 17th March 2015 with three members namely Dr. Amit Wanchoo the Founder and Chairman, Mr. Arshad Hussain Vice Chairman and Mrs. Rajni Wanchoo as Secretary. A Non-Involvement certificate in respect of managing body of H N Wanchoo Trust Jawahar Nagar Srinagar is done by Inspector General of Police, CID, J&K Srinagar. H N Wanchoo Trust is also registered under 80G and 12AA of Income Tax Act, 1961. This Trust is a non-political, non-profit, voluntary and social welfare trust. H N Wanchoo Trust operates its Ambulance Services 24×7 at present in seven districts of Kashmir valley. In addition HNWT is involved in educational initiatives, Awareness about environment, art, culture, skill building among youth and gender equality.

H N Wanchoo trust was formed in memory of famous Social activist, Human rights activist and trade union leader of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Hridai Nath Wanchoo.  Shri H.N.Wanchoo worked selflessly for the downtrodden and was pioneer of workers movement in the state. Shri Hridai Nath Wanchoo dedicated his life for promoting the underprivileged class of the state of Jammu &Kashmir. The main objective of HNWT is to fulfill the dreams of Shri Wanchoo for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

We go beyond traditional ambulance service, maintaining an ongoing comprehensive training program, making sure that our staff is always up-to-date of the latest medical procedures and practices. HNWT is presently operating 7 Ambulances in Kashmir.

HNWT works closely with healthcare providers and NGOs to meet the financial challenge of maximizing resources with effective cost management. HNWT is actively involved in various health, education and skill building initiatives in the valley.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • To save lives and alleviate suffering, by working directly with those in need: the organization endeavor to provide the best medical care possible to those in distress.
  • Improving Emergency Care ambulance service, Medical care, Assistance in emergency.
  • To provide round the clock pre-hospital emergency transportation care (ambulance) services across the state.
  • Improve the access to Medical & Health care attending emergency situations relating to pregnant women, children, Critical patients in situations of serious ill health and all other emergencies.
  • Availability of ambulances at affordable transportation charges for patients.
  • To Co-operate with other NGOs and Government agencies for achieving the objectives.
  • To create and promote a number of products made exclusively in Kashmir, raw materials for which be provided to the beneficiaries to make up.

OUR ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS

  • Training programs focusing mainly on quality control measurements, maintenance of equipment, performing basic examinations of a patient and Emergency treatments.
  • Organizing and hosting meetings with professional organizations, defining ways of promoting best health of the society.
  • Organizing events to protect and promote public health.
  • Organizing free health Camps in remote areas to make basic healthcare accessible for all
  • Organizing Blood donation Camps.
  • Organizing Seminars at Schools, colleges and university by involving students
  • Organizing awareness programs, conferences on Health, medicines, Environmental sector etc.
  • To engage in social welfare activities of other societies, organizations, trusts or institutions as appropriate.

Events are a great way to highlight the Trust’s core values and culture. We have organized following Events to preserve and promote culture that brings people from all walks of life together and strengthening the bonds between them.
